• Arlington School has called many buildings ‘home’ over the years

The Arlington Education Foundation (AEF) was established in 1987 for the purpose of fostering, maintaining, and improving programs related to Arlington Public Schools and to promote the welfare of students. Currently, the Scholarship Program funded by the foundation distributes five $1,000 scholarships annually.

From 1988 to 2013 the foundation has awarded 91 scholarships totaling more than $40,000. In addition, the foundation is the steward of seven additional scholarships. With increased contributions in the past few years, AEF is making an effort to expand our support for the school district. Towards that end, we have created a program called Technology and Beyond. Working through the district technology committee, the funds donated through this program will be utilized to expand the technology efforts of the district. The donations toward this effort totaled $10,500 and were primarily utilized for the acquisition of iPads for elementary classrooms.

In addition to the Scholarship Program and the Technology and Beyond Program that provide direct assistance to the efforts of the public school endeavors, the foundation also funds the Kids in Need Program. The Kids in Need Program is targeted to help individual students with personal and specific needs. The foundation will continue to work with the school to identify future programs that will benefit Arlington Public School.
